Andrew Nickolaou Receives Board Certification in Marital and Family Law

Jun 14, 2022

Orlando, FL ( Law Firm Newswire) June 10, 2022 – Orlando Family Team is pleased to announce that Andrew Nickolaou is now board certified in marital and family law by the Florida Bar, an honor achieved by only 1 percent of attorneys in the state.

Established by the Florida Supreme Court in 1982, Board Certification is the highest level of achievement an attorney can attain in Florida. Only board-certified attorneys can use the term ‘expert,” “specialist,” or “Board Certified Specialist” (B.C.S.).

To become board certified, attorneys are thoroughly evaluated through a peer-review system for competence, character, ethics, and professionalism in their practice area. In particular, a lawyer must have been practicing marital and family law for a minimum of 5 years prior to seeking certification and involved in a minimum of 25 contested marital/family law cases in the circuit courts during that time. In addition to these and other minimum standards, there is also a written examination for becoming board certified in marital and family law.

We are proud of Andrew for attaining his status as a Legal Expert in marital and family law in the State of Florida, as well as for consistently being named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers (2018-2022). These honors are a testament to his dedication to practicing law and providing our clients and the communities we serve with the highest standards of professional excellence. Please join us in congratulating Andrew on this accomplishment.
