Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo met with Prime Minister of Thailand Srettha Thavisin while in San Francisco participating in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum. Secretary Raimondo thanked the Prime Minister for his support of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) and welcomed the significant progress made, including the substantial conclusion on the clean economy and fair economy agreements. The two also discussed potential opportunities to strengthen semiconductor supply chains. Secretary Raimondo emphasized U.S. private sector optimism for trade and investment in Thailand.
