Today, Secretary Gina Raimondo met with United Kingdom’s State Secretary for International Trade Kemi Badenoch to discuss ongoing collaboration to strengthen the U.S.-UK bilateral and commercial relationship. During the meeting, Secretary Raimondo congratulated Secretary Badenoch on her new appointment and highlighted timely progress regarding U.S.-UK data adequacy – the U.S.-UK Comprehensive Dialogue on Technology and Data jointly announced by her and State Secretary Donelan. Secretary Raimondo thanked Secretary Badenoch for the Department of International Trade’s close collaboration including on support for Ukraine, Russia sanctions, and export controls. The Secretary also underscored her commitment to deepening cooperation and exploring ways to advance U.S.-UK trade ties.
