Yesterday, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, Ambassador at Large for Cyberspace and Digital Policy Nate Fick, and U.S. Ambassador to ASEAN Yohannes Abraham participated in the Fourth Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Digital Ministers’ Meeting. They joined ten ASEAN digital ministers and vice ministers for discussions on advancing shared priorities to enhance Southeast Asia’s digital economy. Secretary Raimondo commended the participants on developing a new ASEAN artificial intelligence guide. The Secretary also expressed the Department of Commerce and broader U.S. Government’s interest in deepening bilateral and regional collaboration with ASEAN members on shared priorities.
